Our client posed the question, “how do we package our technology, build brand awareness, while addressing two diverse usage models?” As we watched in disbelief, a stainless steel needle moved from a solid phase to a gas phase in three seconds. Our client’s point: In a medical setting, not only the needle is vaporized, but the potential for it to carry hepatitis, HIV and other germs that cause disease.
We responded with conceptual solutions grounded in a history of creative thinking and a tradition of visionary problem solving.
We developed two user-centric product configurations. A stationary concept for clinics (image shown), the other for diabetics with an active lifestyle. Both safety-conscious needle disposal solutions are driven by their context of use. Each ensures a needle is never reused, and the traditional disposal method (a “sharps box”) is no longer discarded in a land fill.
Our simple, intuitive to operate solutions, drew attention to the startup’s technology and vision for the future. These product concepts opened doors and helped secure early-stage funding.
